Stowe, VT – It’s been almost a decade since the debut of the East’s first annual summer freestyle ski and snowboard event on snow at Vermont’s Stowe Mountain Resort. It’s been called “The Last Trick” ever since.
With a couple dozen snowless Saturdays ahead it’s time to experience this event during Memorial Day weekend in Stowe. That’s a long time to wait for anyone who loves skiing or riding.
The enormous pile of snow hosting this year’s jam session is located on Stowe’s Lower North Slope Terrain Park, easily accessed by foot from the Mount Mansfield base parking area. Stowe’s park crew will design and build the venue consisting of intermediate and advanced freestyle features. The event, which will run from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. this Saturday, is free to enter and open to skiers, snowboarders and spectators. Music will be provided by Lotus Entertainment and there will be prizes and giveaways available.
