Snowbird Celebrates July 4th with Skiing, Pancakes, Live Music

Snowbird, UT – Snowbird Ski and Summer Resort plans to celebrate Independence Day with a pancake breakfast, live music, skiing and summer activities.

“Whether you want to ski on the upper mountain, or enjoy summer activities and listen to live music at the village, the forecast looks fantastic for a special holiday weekend at Snowbird,” said Bob Bonar, president of the Utah ski and snowboard resort.

Skiing and riding will be offered from 8 a.m. until 2 p.m., at a reduced price of $49 for this special closing weekend. Due to rapidly melting snowpack on the lower mountain, the skiing and riding at Snowbird will be limited to the upper mountain. Each season pass and day ticket will be valid for one ride up and one ride down the Tram. The open upper-mountain lifts will be Mineral Basin Express and Little Cloud, conditions permitting. Peruvian Gulch and Gad Valley below Little Cloud will be treated as backcountry. Snowbird is open for skiing Friday, July 1 through Monday, July 4.

Breakfast will be served from 9 a.m. until noon, and the Tram will run from 9 a.m. until 8 p.m. Limited edition “I skied the Bird on July 4th” T-shirts will be on sale for $10 each.

Live music will be performed on the Plaza Deck by C.J. Santoro Dixieland Band during breakfast, and The Quick and Easy Boys will play from 1 until 3 p.m.

Snowbird is offering a special holiday lodging package deal from $65 per person plus tax based on double occupancy, which includes a room, all-you-can-eat pancake breakfast, unlimited pedestrian use of the Aerial Tram and Snowbird’s summer activities.
