The Art, Wine and Music Festival Returns to Squaw Valley This Weekend

Squaw Valley, CA – This weekend, The Village at Squaw Valley welcomes the return of the The Art, Wine and Music Festival with exquisite artwork, fine wine and new this year, has partnered with the Sierra Nevada Classical Guitar Society to include internationally acclaimed classical guitar music.

The festival will take place this Saturday, July 16 and Sunday, July 17 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day in The Village at Squaw Valley.

The Art, Wine and Music Festival has become one of the Lake Tahoe area ski and snowboard resort village’s most popular summer events for those who like to savor the finer things in life. Talented artists and craft persons, musicians and performers gather at the base of Squaw Valley to showcase their creativity in the resort’s pristine alpine setting.

From 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. each day, wine lovers can sample offerings from 15 wineries, including elegant Pinot Noirs from the Robert Stemmler Winery and the Donum Estate, and vibrant wines from the Heck Estate’s Lake Sonoma and Valley of the Moon Winery.

Other featured wineries will include Deerfield Ranch Winery, Dogwood Cellars, Pine Ridge Vineyards, Archery Summit Winery, Chamisal Vineyards, ForeFront, Rod Moniz Family Wines, Twister Rivers, Langetwins Winery and the Hess Collection.

While tasting wine under the peaks of Squaw Valley, visitors can admire the fine art and crafts of nearly 30 artists.  The exhibition features artwork that spans the mediums, including paintings, photography and jewelry.

Art, wine & music aficionados can experience free outdoor concerts by some of the world’s  most accomplished classical guitarists. The festival features six concerts on each day with noteworthy acts including the Triada Trio, Greg Howard, Maximo Diego Pujol & Friends, Michael Chapdelaine and Larry Aynesmith. The festival also caters to kids with additional activities such as an 18-hole miniature golf course, sky jump bungee trampoline, plus swimming, roller skating, paintball and hiking at High Camp.

Entrance to the festival is free. Wine tasting costs $25 each day and includes a commemorative festival wine glass. All proceeds benefit Disabled Sports USA Far West.
