“Survivors at the Summit is a meaningful way to celebrate physical and spiritual triumphs over the disease, and to remember those who have lost their lives to cancer,” said Terri Goldstein, Executive Director of Cancer Wellness House, Inc. “It gives people a chance to come together for love, friendship, celebration or remembrance in an inspirational and recreational event.”

Everybody affected by cancer in any way is invited to hike the 3.5-mile trail, or take a free tram ride to Snowbird’s Hidden Peak, where they will be greeted by One Voice Children’s Choir and a sea of yellow tribute flags waving across the mountain skyline. These personalized Survivors at the Summit 2011 commemorative flags are modeled after traditional Tibetan prayer flags, and are meant to honor people with cancer, survivors and those who have passed away. Guided hikes to the summit will leave every 15 minutes between 8 a.m. and 9:30 a.m. from the Plaza Deck. Tram rides to the summit will be available every 30 minutes between 9 a.m. and noon.
