Peru, VT – Bill Cairns, Bromley Mountain’s recently named General Manager, has wasted little time in shaping the Vermont ski mountain’s management team more to his liking.
“I’ve been with Bromley for 30 years, 25 of those years as Director of Mountain Operations,” says Cairns. “Believe me, I know this mountain and know the depth of talent we’re fortunate enough to have in management. With my [former] position open, I had an opportunity to restructure assignments, capitalizing on everyone’s strengths, all from within.”
Peter Dee has been named Director of Guest Services, Rick Goddard has been named Director of Mountain Operations, Michael van Eyck is the mountain’s new Director of Marketing and Tom Kingery is now Director of Human Resources.
“I’ve worked with all of these gentlemen for years and have seen firsthand their dedication to Bromley. I’m confident that these appointments will make for a smoother, more efficient mountain operation, winter and summer,” Cairns said.
The changes follow last month’s announcement that Mountain Resort Management LLC, owned by father and son Brian and Tyler Fairbank of Jiminy Peak Mountain Resort in Massachusetts and Cranmore Resort in New Hampshire, had been retained to manage Bromley following the retirement of the Vermont resort’s President, Rich Wiseman, in May.
