15th Annual Bluegrass & Beer Festival Coming to Keystone

Keystone, CO – Summit County, Colorado’s Bluegrass & Beer Festival hits Keystone ski resort August 5th through August 7th. This year’s festival features 30 microbreweries from around Colorado and live bluegrass all day on three stages from The Farewell Drifters, Steel Pennies, the Peter Rowan Bluegrass Band and more.

Frothy brews begin at noon everyday in the Shock Top Beer Garden. Musical acts take the stage in Gondola Plaza, River Run, and the Quaking Aspens Amphitheatre at 12:30 p.m. Guests can pick up their own Bluegrass & Beer event mug for $40 and enjoy unlimited tastings along with some down home cooking in River Run Village. Pints will also be available for $5 each. Participating breweries include AC Golden Brewing Company, Pug Ryans, Odell Brewing Company, Renegade Brewing Company, Oskar
Blues Brewery, Palisade Brewing Company, San Luis Valley Brewing Company, Grand Teton Brewing
Company, Hops Grill and Brewery, Durango Brewing Company, Left Hand Brewing Company, Del Norte
Brewing Company, Twisted Pine Brewery, Crabtree Brewing Company, and Breckenridge Brewery.

The music and admission to the event will be free of charge. There will be an instructional seminar with Peter Rowan on the art of bluegrass music, and as always there will be the KidZone with free activities for everyone, including face painting, games and more.

Stick around Keystone for August 20th and 21st for the Blues Festival & Art Show, featuring live blues from Grady Champion, Soul of John Black and Papa Grows Funk. The art show showcases unique and local art from around Colorado; based on a juried decision the artists are the cream of the crop.

Free parking will be available for both events at the ski resort’s River Run parking lots, located just off Gondola Road.
