Wilmington, NY – The hazy, hot and humid days of summer are a perfect time for donning ski wear, right?

Right. Your thermometer may not be hinting at snow, but it’s never too early to begin thinking about winter or skiing and riding and the Whiteface Lake Placid Road Warriors are back out hitting the pavement this summer, armed with opportunities to ski and ride Whiteface Mountain Ski Center in Wilmington, N.Y., for free this winter along with a chance to win a Whiteface Season Pass or a Whiteface Lake Placid Ski and Stay Package.

All you have to do to win is show up and impress the Road Warriors by wearing your winter gear – helmet, hats, goggles, skis, ski boots – you name it, and you could earn yourself a free Whiteface lift ticket and sign up for the Whiteface Season Pass drawing.

On August 12-13 the Whiteface Lake Placid Road Warriors will be visiting various locations throughout New York State’s Capital Region. Their first stop will be Friday, August 12 at the Albany Farmer’s Market at the Empire State Plaza, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and at the Crossgates Mall located in Albany, across from Dick’s Sporting Goods from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Later Friday night, the crew will be heading up to Saratoga where you will find them at Bailey’s Café from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.

They’ll kick off Saturday, August 13 in Saratoga’s Congress Park from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., with a few other fast stops along the way. If you miss them during the day, enjoy Saratoga’s nightlife with the Whiteface Lake Placid Road Warriors at The Horseshoe Inn Bar & Grill 6 p.m. ti 8 p.m.. or at Gaffney’s from 9 p.m. to 11 p.m.

The Whiteface Lake Placid Road Warriors are planning trips this summer and fall throughout N.Y. and across the border into Canada to promote the skiing and riding at Whiteface with opportunities to win and other cool swag.
