Angel Fire, NM – Northern New Mexico’s Angel Fire ski resort will celebrate Labor Day Weekend with its annual Bikes Blues and Brews Festival, an event that brings together live music, local craft beer and a motorcycle meet-up. Coyote 102.5 FM’s Erica Viking will be broadcasting live from the festival.
Angel Fire has hosted some popular brewer events in the past,” said Andy Whitacre, Special Events Manager at Angel Fire. “We get requests all the time from locals, visitors and brewers alike to host similar celebrations; Bikes Blues and Brews has been a poular way to do so, and the event is growing every year. We’re kicking it off on Labor Day Weekend, coinciding with a Run-for-The-Wall motorcycle reunion in Angel Fire, to allow many of our area’s guests to squeeze in one last great get-together this summer.”
Along with motorcycle viewings, some of New Mexico’s top microbreweries will compete for “best of show” prizes voted on by all event attendees. Nearly a dozen local microbreweries will participate: The Abbey Beverage Co., Blue Corn Brewery, Comanche Creek Brewing Co., Hallenbrick Brewery, La Cumbre Brewing Co., Marble Brewing Co., Mimbres Brewing Co., Santa Fe Brewing Co., Second Street Brewery, Sierra Blanca/Rio Grande Brewery, and Turtle Mountain Brewery. Several non-New Mexico beers will be represented including Kona Brewing Co., Red Hook Brewery, O’Dell Brewing Co., Widmer Brothers Brewing, and Isotopes Beer.
The event kicks off at 3 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 3, in front of the Angel Fire Lodge. Visit www.angelfireresort.com for more information.
