Wine and Brew Fest This Weekend at Hunter Mountain

Hunter, NY – Hunter Mountain’s annual Wine & Brew festival kicks off today at the ski resort in New York’s Catskill Mountains with over 30 beers and wineries in attendance from the Hudson Valley, around New York State and beyond.

Regardless of the predicted sunny days with temperatures in the mid-60s for the weekend, this is an indoor event that takes place from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. today, and from noon to 4 p.m. on Sunday. Wineries are set up in Colonel’s Hall and breweries scattered throughout the ski resort’s base lodge. Access to the grounds is free, and 10 samples of wine or beer cost $20, with full size drinks available for purchase at the resort’s Main Bar. The grounds also feature live music, food, art and craft vendors, a grape stomping contest and more.

Wineries in attendance include: Thousand Island Winery; Lakeland Winery; Cascata Winery; Amici Winery; Lieb Family Cellars; Americana Vineyards; Brotherhood Winery; Long Island Meadery; Baldwin Vineyards; Warwick Valley Winery; Cereghino Smith; Cascade Mountain Winery; and Happy Bitch Wines. Confirmed breweries include: Keegan Ales; Crossroads Brewing; Butternuts Beer & Ale; Bomb Beer Co.; and Brewery Ommegang. A selection of beer from other breweries will be available from: JW Dundee; Sam Adams; Long Trail; Saranac; Lake Placid Brewing; Sierra Nevada; Brooklyn Brewing; Magic Hat; Olde Saratoga; Ithaca Beer Co.; Adirondack Brewing; Otter Creek; Cooperstown Brewing; Peak Organic; and Spaten.

To take advantage of the fall weather outdoors the resort’s Skyride scenic chairlift rides and zipline tours are running during the festival this weekend as well.
