Any and all winter film is welcome, and event organizers have opened up some new categories and events this year. Any length, almost any format, and any topic; fiction or non-fiction.  This is more than a ski and snowboard action film fest, but instead focuses on all aspects of winter.

Presented in a format similar to that of the Academy Awards, the 2010 Cold Smoke Awards will be presented in Bozeman on February 11, 2012. Prizes up for grabs this year range from gear to trips and cash. The People’s Choice Tour is a 10-stop tour that showcases local and international films in mountain towns throughout the West, giving exposure to films from near and far.

Visit www.coldsmokeawards.com/film-submissions to obtain a submission form, and check out the Filmmaker Guide to the CSA for tips on submitting.  All submissions are due by November 1, 2011.
