McCall, ID – Brundage Mountain Resort celebrates its 50th Anniversary in November, and in honor of that milestone, the central Idaho ski area is making several significant off-season improvements and celebrating its anniversary with a number of money-saving initiatives.
The most noticeable change is taking place on the second floor of the main lodge, where a major remodeling project will create 100 additional seats in Smoky’s Pub. Smoky’s Kitchen will also expand, allowing the this venue to offer a fresh new menu. The changes will also improve traffic flow to the restrooms and create options for future improvements on the third floor of the lodge.
Brundage Mountain has also invested in two brand new grooming machines. The state-of-the-art PistenBully 400s will groom the ski resort’s slopes nightly.
Beyond the slopes and the lodge, the focus for the 50th Anniversary Season is to create new, affordable opportunities for visitors to participate in the sports of skiing and snowboarding.
“We want to make it as easy and as economical as possible for everyone to help us celebrate our anniversary season,” said resort spokesperson, April Russell.
The pre-season promotion, which is dubbed the “Best of Brundage” Anniversary Sale, begins this Thursday and features six different products that will each be on sale for a limited time only. Most deals will be offered for two weeks at a time, but a pair of special products will be sold only to the first 50 people who purchase.
The “Best of Brundage” Package goes on sale at 9 a.m. on Friday, November 4 and includes an unlimited 2011-12 Adult Season Pass, a full-day backcountry SnowCat Adventure, a two-hour Private Lesson session, and a full-day high performance rental package for $489. Only 50 of these packages are available. Full Details are available at www.brundage.com/preseason.
Also limited to the first 50 sold will be the “Legacy of Learning” Package, which includes an unlimited 2011-12 Adult Season Pass and three visits to the Brundage Bears children’s program, also for $489. That also goes on sale at 9 a.m. on Friday, November 4th.
“We would love to offer these deals to everyone, but space is limited on our Cat Ski trips and in our popular Bears program, so we can only offer that to our most enthusiastic shoppers,” added Russell.
Gift Cards, Season Passes and Select Cards are deeply discounted in the other phases of the sale. Brundage is also reaching out to beginners by dropping the price on its signature lesson program, the Learn to Ski Guarantee, to $99. This program includes unlimited beginner lessons as well as two days of free rental gear and lift tickets.
Brundage Mountain’s opening day depends entirely on natural snowfall. Brundage Mountain will open for weekend operations as soon as there is enough snow to properly pack and groom the slopes. Brundage plans to open full operations (seven days a week) starting on December 9, 2011, snow conditions permitting.
