Aspen, CO – Auberge Resorts, owners and operators of a number of small luxury resorts and clubs, have announced that the company will assume management of Hotel Jerome in Aspen, a RockResort, beginning November 1.

Eric Calderon, Chief Operating Officer of Auberge Resorts and formerly with Aspen’s The Little Nell, added, “It’s a true pleasure for me to be a part of the Aspen community again. I’m thrilled that Auberge will oversee the next chapter in the Jerome’s history.”

A landmark in Aspen, the AAA Four Diamond Award-winning Hotel Jerome is ideally situated in the heart of town. The hotel pioneered new levels of innovation and luxury when it opened in 1889 at the height of Aspen’s boomtown silver-mining era and has been meticulously maintained to retain its Rocky Mountain character and identity as one of the great hotels of the American West. The hotel features 94 guest rooms and suites offering mountain views, a fitness center and spa. Its restaurants have earned the hotel acclaim as a culinary destination, and its popular J-Bar is lauded as an Aspen favorite.

Auberge Resorts plans selective enhancements to the service and decor at the Jerome and will update the hotel’s culinary and spa programs. “We look forward to introducing Auberge Resorts’ signature style of hospitality to Aspen,” Harmon said.

Hotel Jerome will be the third project in ski country for Auberge Resorts, which unveiled The Auberge Residences at Element 52, a collection of 33 slope-side residences in Telluride, Colo., in January 2011. In March, Auberge announced a partnership with the Aspen Club & Spa to design and develop The Aspen Club and Auberge Residences, a collection of new luxury residences. The Auberge portfolio also includes Napa Valley resorts Auberge du Soleil, Calistoga Ranch and Solage Calistoga; Esperanza in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico; Rancho Valencia in Rancho Santa Fe, Calif.; Encantado in Santa Fe, N.M.; and The Inn at Palmetto Bluff in Bluffton, S.C.
