Tuscaloosa, Alabama –  A week after snow “fell” in Nashville, the City of Gatlinburg, Tenn., will bring snow to Tuscaloosa for this Saturday’s University of Alabama vs. University of Tennessee football game.

From noon to 4 p.m., Gatlinburg will provide children of all ages a free, one-of-a kind tailgating experience and give a local family affected by the tornadoes an early holiday gift. The event will be located across the street from The University of Alabama’s Student Media Building on University Blvd., in between Reese Phifer Hall and The Walk of Champions outside the north end zone of Bryant Denny Stadium.

“We’re excited to recreate Gatlinburg snow tubing in Alabama and also help a deserving family affected by the April storms enjoy a trip that they may have not had the opportunity to take this year,” said David Perella, Executive Director of the Gatlinburg Department of Tourism.  “Gatlinburg is a popular ski destination for Alabama residents and is just a short drive away.”
