Ski-Wine-Board-Brew Festival Returns to the Bay Area

San Francisco, CA – Now in their fourth year in the Bay Area, the SnowBomb Ski and Snowboard Festivals promise another busy weekend events this November for winter sports fans in Northern California.

“Our Ski-Wine-Board-Brew festival is the premier attraction leading up to the winter season,” says event founder Jim McAlpine. “Five years ago we set out to revolutionize the customer experience at tired, old ski expos and today we’re thrilled to announce the concept keeps getting better.”

New for 2011, SnowBomb has partnered with award winning filmmakers Teton Gravity Research (TGR) and Matchstick Productions (MSP) to host ski movie premiere nights at both the San Francisco and Silicon Valley events. Fans will have the chance to watch TGR’s “One for the Road” and MSP’s “Attack of La Nina” the evening before each day of the festival.

Returning for 2011 is the VIP ticket option which, at $40, allows attendees access to more than 150 wineries and breweries offering tastes of their newest flavors this year. Also, noted McAlpine, every admission ticket to the event comes with three free lift tickets — one each to Bear Valley, Dodge Ridge, and China Peak Resort — and unlimited access to more than 20,000 square-feet of the latest winter gear at 30 to 70 percent off retail prices and more than 100 exhibitors offering access to the pure winter experience.

“This year we’ve brought back more than 20 world-class resorts including Squaw, Whistler, Jackson Hole, Mammoth, Sun Valley, Big Sky and many more,” said the Festival’s new Director of Operations, Justin Broglio. “And we’ve got all our favorite Lake Tahoe resorts in attendance alongside industry leading brands such as Salomon, Rossignol, K2 Skis, The North Face and Dynastar.”

Located at the historic Fort Mason Center’s Festival Pavilion in the heart of the Marina District, the San Francisco Festival will run from 11 a.m. until 8 p.m. on Saturday, November 5th, and from 11 a.m. until 6 p.m. on Sunday, November 6th. Located at the Santa Clara Convention Center in the heart of Silicon Valley, the Silicon Valley Festival will run from 11 a.m. until 8 p.m. on Saturday, November 12th, and from 11 a.m. until 6 p.m. on Sunday, November 13th.

Over 20,000 attendees are expected at each festival and fans are advised to purchase their tickets in advance online at www.SFSkiFest.com.
