New York, NY – Friends of Alta will be holding a social event in New York City next month to bolster their already strong East Coast fan base to protect the Utah ski resort town’s open space, natural character and unique ambience.
A major element of the group’s annual fundraising efforts, the three-course dinner is held on Friday, Nov. 11 at Rouge Tomate (10 E. 60th Street in Manhattan) and will begin at 6:30 p.m. with cocktails. Tickets cost $300 per person and available online at www.friendsofalta.org/support/nysocial.
The evening will feature presentations by Friends of Alta President and Alta Lodge owner Mimi Levitt, and Executive Director Jen Clancy. A slide show by Utah and New York photographers will showcase Alta’s beauty and will be accompanied by a silent auction and plenty of time to mingle, reminisce, and get energized for the upcoming ski season.
Friends of Alta is dedicated to perpetuating the Alta experience by preserving its healthy streams, stunning wildflowers, magical moose, vibrant wildlife, impressive peaks and the “greatest snow on earth.” Support of friends near and far is used to preserve the environmental vitality of Albion Basin and the Little Cottonwood Canyon Watershed.
