Highlands Ranch, CO – Lindsey Vonn, the decorated alpine ski racing champion, will speak to students at Coyote Creek Elementary School in Highlands Ranch on Tuesday. Vonn will inspire students with stories about her ski career including her unprecedented success in the 2010 Olympic Games and her three consecutive World Cup Titles as well as her recent win in the giant slalom event, making her only the fifth woman ever to win a race in all five World Cup disciplines.
Vonn was the first American woman to win an Olympic gold medal in the Downhill and also took home a bronze in the Super G at the Olympic Games.
Coyote Creek Elementary School won a contest through Vail Resorts’ School of Shred Program, which provides four free days of skiing or riding at Vail, Beaver Creek, Breckenridge, Keystone and Arapahoe Basin for all Colorado fifth and sixth grade students as well as one complimentary first-timer ski lesson, including rental equipment. Vail Mountain has supported Vonn throughout her career and Vonn now represents all six Vail Resorts properties: Vail Mountain, Beaver Creek, Breckenridge and Keystone in Colorado, and Heavenly and Northstar-at-Tahoe in California.
