Ski Maine Peak to Peak

Portland, ME – One of the Ski Maine Association’s primary missions is to promote the wide availability of skiing and snowboarding across the state. The Ski Maine Peak to Peak Challenge is one event highlighting all the areas from Fort Kent, to the Camden Hills, to the Western Mountains.

To enter, skiers and snowboarders simply log the date when the visit a Maine ski area, and then submit the entry form in the spring of 2012. All qualifying entries receive a Ski Maine Peak to Peak pin, and a chance to win free skiing for the following season. A quick look at the state ski map shows that Mainers are surprisingly close to ski and snowboard areas that they may not have been aware of.

To promote Maine skiing, the Ski Maine Association relies on funding provided by the ski areas through a unique lift ticket pass program. The Ski Maine Mountain Pass, and the Ski Maine Sampler are lift ticket programs that include vouchers to all twenty ski and snowboard areas in the state.

Bo Bigelow, Ski Maine Association, announced today that “two lodging partners have joined with Ski Maine to promote fact that people can easily ski more than one ski area from one hotel. The Bethel Inn, in Bethel, is central to Sunday River, Mt. Abram and Shawnee Peak. The Comfort Inn, in Wilton/Farmington, is central to Sugarloaf, Saddleback and Titcomb.”

To highlight this partnership, all purchasers of a Ski Maine Pass, through November 30, are automatically entered in a drawing to win an overnight stay at either of the two properties.

The Ski Maine Mountain Pass costs $450 and contains a pair of tickets to each of 20 Ski Maine areas, for a total of 40 adult lift ticket vouchers. The Ski Maine Sampler Pass costs $250 and contains one ticket to each Ski Maine areas, for a total of 20 adult lift ticket vouchers. Tickets are transferable, making this a convenient pass for individuals, friends, and families.
