Breckenridge, CO – Breckenridge based boutique ski maker Skilogik is producing a limited edition Mountain Rider’s Alliance graphic on its entire lineup to bring attention to Mountain Riders Alliance’s (MRA) principles of community values, environmental respect and minimal ski area infrastructure.
Inspired by MRA’s flagship project designed to bring skiing back to Manitoba Mountain on Alaska’s Kenai Peninsula, the one-of-a-kind top sheet design showcases the beauty of the terrain while giving homage to the sun, rivers, and natural environment.
MRA is a collaborative organization developing “community-supporting, environmentally-friendly, rider-centric mountain playgrounds that encourage minimal carbon footprint business practices and on-mountain green energy production.”
The MRA limited edition ski is available in all Skilogik models including their popular powder tool, the Howitzer. Only 500 pair will be produced in total with the new graphic. A percentage of the proceeds will go to the Native American Olympic Team Foundation, founded in 1996 by Olympian Suzy Chaffee to support the Olympic aspirations of Native Americans.
Included with the purchase is a MRA t-shirt, ski strap, and stickers as well as a microbrick of Green Ski Wax and a $100 coupon towards a future MRA Mountain Playground membership. In addition, for each purchase made, Skilogik has implemented a “Plant a Tree Program” that assists reforestation in a reclaimed Brazilian rainforest preserve.
