Holiday Valley Awaits Ski Season with Beer and Wine Festival

Ellicottville, NY – The cold weather is setting in, and while there’s yet no snow for skiing or snowboarding at Holiday Valley, the ski resort in western New York State is anticipating a big crowd this coming weekend when over 2,000 people are expected to attend the 8th Annual Holiday Valley Beer and Wine Festival.

Holiday Valley, the Ellicottville Brewing Company and Southern Tier Brewing Company will host this event from 3:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, when over 30 local, U.S. and international craft brewers plus 13 wineries from New York, California and around the world will pour samples of their products for enthusiasts. Pre-sale tickets cost $40 per person.

The band Big Leg Emma will entertain attendees during Saturday’s event and a Torcedores will demonstrate hand rolling cigars. A variety of Brewfest foods will be served throughout the event and each ticket includes a $5 food credit.

The festival’s VIP pass is also back for the second year. This $100 ticket entitles the bearer to a two-hour exclusive beer tasting adventure with rare and specialty top U.S. craft brews and Belgian beers and specialty wines. This will take place in the Brewer’s Loft at the Yodeler Lodge and will be accompanied by a selection of special hors d’oeuvres paired with the beer and wine offerings.

A special family style Beer Tasting Dinner on Friday night will feature a German Octoberfest Brew House meal and beers to complement the food. The head brewers from both Southern Tier and Ellicottville Brewing Companies will guide diners through the dishes and the beers. One hundred people are expected to attend the Beer Tasting Dinner at a cost of $65 per person, and reservations may be obtained by calling (716) 699-2010.

Lodging packages including festival tickets are available at the Inn at Holiday Valley, the Tamarack Club and Holiday Valley Rental Properties. Shuttles are available to transport Holiday Valley Lodging guests to the Festival then to the Village and back to the Holiday Valley lodging properties.
