Stoneham to Launch Ski Season with a Party

Stoneham (QC), Canada – Stoneham Mountain Resort will next Saturday host its legendary Bud Light November Chill, the biggest pre-opening party of Quebec’s ski and snowboard season.

At 6 p.m., a rail jam will take place at the base of the mountain with industry reps presenting their collections for 2012. The activity is open to everyone and more than C$1,500 will be awarded. At 8 p.m., the freestyle crowd can appreciate the new movies from Brothers Factory and ESK Media on indoor and outdoor screens. The party will continue until 3 a.m. with live music from SonReal and DJ Rich-A.

From Vancouver, SonReal will perform songs from his latest album Where’s Waldo, which was recently nominated at the Western Canada Music Awards. To continue the party until the wee hours of the morning, DJ Rich-A from British Columbia will turn up the volume and mix musical styles.

Year after year, over 1,300 tickets are sold out before the event and the Hotel Stoneham is jam packed. C$20 gets you in with one free beer by pre-purchasing tickets at Stoneham, Empire and D-Structure shops, or it will cost you C$40 without the beer at the door. Entry to the rail jam costs C$10, or is free for season pass holders, plus a park pass that’s valid all season. Helmets are mandatory.
