$10 Lift Tickets at Schweitzer Benefit Local Cancer Patients

Sandpoint, ID – Community Cancer Services of Sandpoint and Schweitzer Mountain Resort will team up to offer $10 lift tickets all day tomorrow and raise funds for those with cancer in the Idaho ski resort’s area community. One hundred percent of ticket proceeds from the event, formerly known as “A Day for Heather,” will be donated.

Schweitzer Mountain Resort plans to have all 2,900 acres of its skiable terrain open and operate eight lifts — everything but the Sunnyside Double. Lifts will run from 9 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. Thanks to 88 inches thus far of early season snowfall, Schweitzer currently boasts the most available in-bounds terrain in the country.

“We really look forward to hosting A Day for Heather each year,” said Schweitzer President and CEO, Tom Chasse. “It’s always amazing to see so many people out supporting the cause and having a great time while they’re at it. All of the funds stay local and help cancer patients’ right here at home.”
