Show participants will congregate Thursday through Sunday to participate in a Salt Palace Convention Center full of exhibits, product launches, seminars, meetings, networking events and celebrations of the outdoor, lifestyle and winter sports industries. Now celebrating more than 30 years, Outdoor Retailer connects approximately 46,000 attendees on a semi-annual basis for its Summer and Winter Market shows, and thousands more through its year-round online resources and platforms.

Of course, the show is not without its evening parties as well. Avalaunch on Thursday night will feature Blackalicious, an American hip-hop duo from Sacramento, Calif. that will headline the party. Ticket sales will benefit the Dean Cummings’ Be Snow Smart program. Outdoor Retailer’s All Star Industry Jam on Saturday night features a variety of bands made up of retailers, manufacturers and other industry members showcasing their little-known musical talents. It’s an after-show-hours chance for people to get together, relax and listen to their peers rock out while supporting nonprofit organization, Paradox Sports.

And for those for whom a job is more important than a party, the ShmoozaPalooza Job Fair will be held from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday at the Salt Lake City Marriott Downtown to connect hopeful outdoor industry job seekers with a range of premier outdoor hard good, apparel, accessory and retail businesses – all with active job openings.
