Westford, MA – A 9-year-old boy was airlifted to a Boston area hospital following a skiing accident on Sunday at Nashboa Valley ski area in Westford.
The victim, whose name has not been released, was found unconscious in the woods off a ski trail on Sunday night following a run with his father. He was flown to Children’s Hospital in Boston, where he remains this morning. His condition remains unknown.
Reports indicate that the victim was wearing a helmet at the time of the accident, which is the second severe injury sustained by a child at Nashoba Valley this month. On Jan. 10 a 7-year-old girl was seriously injured when she fell from Nashoba’s Sundown Triple Chairlift.
