Wabasha, MN – Three people were taken to a hospital on Saturday afternoon after the chair in which they were riding fell from its cable at Coffee Mill Ski & Snowboard Resort in Wabasha, in southeastern Minnesota.

The Wabasha County Sheriff’s Office reports that the three unidentified men, all in their 20s, were transported with various injuries. The most seriously injured was airlifted to St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester, Minn., with back injuries. The current condition of those injured is unknown at this time.

The cause of the accident remains under investigation. Coffee Mill remained open for skiing and riding via other lifts following Saturday’s incident.
