Park City, UT – Utah’s Park City Mountain Resort (PCMR) has introduced new freestyle camps inspired by the “I Ride Park City” video episodes and the athletes who star in them. Combining training in the ski resort’s terrain parks with video shooting and editing, the camp’s will maintain PCMR’s low 5:1 student to coach ratio and are geared towards intermediate to advanced level skiers and snowboarders ages 9-15, with all levels of park experience, who want to take their skills to the next level.
The three-day camp teaches new skills in a private progression park built specifically for the I Ride Park City Freestyle camp and focuses on all-mountain skill development, park and pipe instruction and digital image capturing. A maximum of five campers to a coach ensures that students find the right group for their abilities, regardless of whether they’re learning their first jumps, moving into the Eagle Superpipe or fine-tuning a 540. Campers also capture video of their work with GoPro cameras and leave camp with a digital video edit they can share over Facebook and YouTube.
Five sessions of the I Ride Park City Freestyle Camp will be held this season. A Presidents’ Week session will be held next Wednesday through Friday, Feb. 22-24. Spring Break sessions run Mar. 13-15, Mar. 20-22, Mar. 27-29 and Apr. 3-5. The I Ride Park City Freestyle camp costs $450 with a lift ticket and includes lunch, or $330 not including a lift ticket. Each session runs 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
