Norden, CA – Staffers at California’s Sugar Bowl Resort are looking at this ski season from the perspective, “Better late than never.” With over 200 inches of snow falling in March alone, now that deep snowfall has finally graced Tahoe’s slopes they’ve opted to extend the Sugar Bowl winter season through April 29.
Sugar Bowl announced on Thursday that they will continue to run on-mountain and base-area operations on a daily basis through at least April 15th, with either daily or Friday through Sunday operations continuing after that, April 16 – 29. Resort operators will decide upon daily vs. weekend operations for the resort’s final two weeks based on snow, terrain and weather conditions.
The announcement did not include lift ticket pricing or expected terrain openings for Sugar Bowl’s extended season. At press time, Sugar Bowl was reporting base depths ranging from 60 to 115 inches.
