Caterinichio Named New U.S. Ski Team Nordic Program Manager

Park City, UT – The U.S. Ski and Snowboard Association (USSA) has announced that longtime cross country ski coach and former racer Joey Caterinichio, of Anchorage, Alaska, has been named nordic program manager for the USSA.

With the primary responsibility of serving as administrator for the cross country, nordic combined and ski jumping programs, Caterinichio will operate the nordic domestic system, manage internal projects and coordinate nordic sport committees. She comes from a long history of ski racing and coaching both international and domestic projects, most recently for Alaska Nordic Racing.

Additionally, internal projects including Olympics, World Championships, U23 and Junior World Championships will operate under the new position, as well as coordination of sport committees.

I am thrilled to join the USSA staff,” said Caterinichio. “My goal is to complement the existing staff and awesome coaches who are doing an excellent job with our domestic and international programs, as well as continue to aid or implement quality programs, increase communications and quality racing opportunities for our entire nation to succeed at the highest levels. Current U.S. results are at an all-time best. What a great opportunity to join the USSA at this time.”
