Mammoth Lakes, CA –A late ski season and lower than normal snowpack have combined to create a unique opportunity in the Eastern Sierra over the upcoming Memorial Day holiday weekend. Mammoth Mountain will be serving up the best of both summer and winter with skiing and riding on soft spring snow, mountain biking and golf.
The final ski and snowboard lifts of Mammoth Mountain’s winter season will take place on Monday, May 28, while the Mammoth Bike Park will open for the summer on Saturday, May 26. The Adventure Center and Scenic Gondola will also be open seven days a week starting on the 26th, marking an official and complete opening to the summer 2012 season at Mammoth.
To help make the most of this rare confluence of weather and holiday, Mammoth is offering a Ski/Bike/Golf Pass, available only over Memorial Day weekend from May 24 through 28. The $99 pass includes an all-day lift ticket, Mammoth Bike Park access and nine holes of golf at the Sierra Star Golf Course after 2 p.m. That’s a discount of $70 for savings of about 40 percent.
In addition, the pass is also good for 25 percent off lodging at Juniper Springs, the Village Lodge and Mammoth Mountain Inn.
Also over the holiday weekend, Mammoth will host a party at noon on Saturday, Sunday and Monday to launch the brand new Yodler Biergarten, featuring a Garten Grill menu paired with authentic Bavarian brews, live music and specials. Try out the “Beer + Brat” special, where you can get a Hofbraus Munchen Draft and your choice of bratwurst, bockwurst or whiskey fennel sausage sandwich for $10. The Sundeck will feature an authentic Luau Pig Roast and BBQ with live music on Saturday and island drink specials throughout the holiday weekend.
