Keystone, CO – Arapahoe Basin Ski Area will be hosting an Open House to share its vision for improvements and changes proposed for the Colorado ski area over the next decade. The Open House will take place on Wednesday, August 29, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Keystone Center in Keystone, Colo.
A-Basin’s Chief Operating Officer, Alan Henceroth, will engage participants in a conversation about the concepts and ideas in A-Basin’s Proposed 2012 Master Development Plan to be considered by the White River National Forest, within which the ski area operates. The existing Master Development Plan was last amended in 2006, resulting in A-Basin’s expansion to the south into Montezuma Bowl in the winter of 2007-08.
Projects under consideration include a zipline tour, a surface lift to access Montezuma Bowl, increased snowmaking reservoir storage, and lift-served skiing in The Beavers. U.S. Forest Service staff from the Dillon Ranger District will also be present to answer any questions.
The Keystone Center is located at 1628 St. John Road in Keystone, Colorado.
