Fairfield, ID – Bruce Willis has now handed over control of Idaho’s Soldier Mountain ski area to a non-profit group, ending the “Die Hard” actor’s stint in the ski business.

The sale of Soldier Mountain, located between Boise and Sun Valley, is part of Willis’ planned exodus from Idaho, where he also owns a home in Hailey along with a bar and nightclub.

The non-profit group was created by five as-yet-unnamed individuals, some of whom reportedly live in Fairfield. While terms of the sale have not yet been disclosed, Willis indicated earlier this year that he’d turn Soldier Mountain over to a non-profit operating entity for free.

The website for the ski area, which features two chairlifts and a rope tow spanning a 1,425-foot vertical drop, now displays only a splash page indicating “Under new management…stay tuned.”

The Soldier Mountain sale will be formally consummated at a Town Hall meeting scheduled for Thursday in Fairfield.
