Copper Mountain Opens Friday

Copper Mountain, CO – While the U.S. Ski Team will get first crack at Copper Mountain’s slopes tomorrow, the Colorado ski and snowboard resort’s American Eagle chairlift starts turning for the public at 9 a.m. this Friday for the start of Copper Mountain’s 40th anniversary season.

Throughout opening weekend, guests can experience skiing and snowboarding off of the American Eagle chairlift, Easy Rider Surface lift and at two Woodward at Copper terrain parks. The Bouncer Terrain Park and Eagle Beginner Park will host over 20 features and two jumps, catering to all ability levels.

Copper will celebrate the new season with 40th Anniversary koozie giveaways for the first 500 people outside the Sypder Store on both Friday and Saturday, granting access to drink specials all day long at Endo’s Adrenaline Café. Amenities including Copper Sports, The Fix (offering 50% off full tunes for season pass holders) and The Woodward at Copper Barn will also be open for flipping pleasure.

Copper’s 40th season welcomes several new amenities and activities around the resort. Beginning in mid-November, guests can soar over West Lake on Copper’s newest attraction, the Alpine Rush Zip Line, or visit one of Copper’s recently added retail shops, Funky Finds Boutique & Gifts and Sunglass Express.
