Stratton Raises $5000 for Sandy Relief

Stratton Mountain, VT – Over 250 runners, walkers and turkeys turned out for Stratton Mountain’s 7th Annual Gobble Gobble Wobble 5K Run on Thanksgiving morning, with all proceeds totaling around $5,000 benefiting relief efforts from Hurricane Sandy.

One of the best attended Gobble Gobble Wobbles in the history of the race, racers came from as close as Bondville and as far as New Jersey. The fastest finisher was Ward Kane of Bondville, Vt., with a time of 17:07, who was all smiles at the finish line.

The Gobble Gobble Wobble is part of Stratton’s Opening Celebration, with five days of festivities enlivening the opening of the 2012-13 ski and snowboard season.
