Joffrey Koeman, Director of Sales & Marketing at Cypress Mountain, told Canada’s CTV that an example needs to be made of 33-year-old snowboarder Sebastien Boucher, a director of finance with the National Bank of Canada.  Boucher, originally from Ottawa and currently a resident of West Vancouver, was located Tuesday night by members of North Shore Rescue who spent 48 hours looking for him, their effort complicated by the fact that Boucher didn’t remain put.

Cypress Mountain staff and friends of Boucher joined North Shore Rescue in the search effort. Koeman told Canada’s CTV that Boucher flagrantly disregarded Cypress Mountain’s boundary signs, and that the search pulled staff away from the resort’s Sky Chair, leaving the lift idle for a day.
