Brian Head, UT – Brian Head Resort, located in the beautiful red-rock mountains of southern Utah, is now under new ownership.

The all-cash purchase of the ski area popular with Southern California and Las Vegas skiers and riders was completed on December 20, and ushers in a new era for Brian Head Resort and the Town of Brian Head.  The transition of ownership to Brian Head Acquisition Partner LLC comes during Brian Head Resort’s 48th year of operations. While the purchase price was not disclosed, the property had been listed for $29 million by the family trust of the late Jim Trees, Brian Head Resort’s owner since 1992, and has been on the market since 2008.

“We have been enthusiastically awaiting this transition, and are highly confident that the new ownership will bring increased vitality to Brian Head Resort,” says Burke Wilkerson, Brian Head Resort’s Vice President and General Manager.  “We are looking forward to exciting new changes and planned improvements that will substantially enhance the guest experience, and take the resort to an even-higher level of winter and summer recreation.”

The resort will continue to operate under its current schedule and rates.
