Sun Peaks (BC), Canada – Sun Peaks and Kamloops are celebrating the two British Columbia communities’ successful bid to host the 2018 BC Winter Games. Sun Peaks will host the Games’ alpine events, welcoming the province’s top athletes to its slopes.
Sun Peaks and Kamloops were chosen because of their high quality amenities, in both athletic facilities and accommodation options.
Home to one of the leading alpine racing centers in Canada., the Nancy Greene International Race Centre, Sun Peaks’ racing facilities are exceptionally well designed and maintained. Every winter Sun Peaks draws race organizations from across the country and around the world. In fact, Sun Peaks was the early season training home to the Austria National Ski team for several years, and their home base during the 2010 Olympic Winter Games.
