Bolton Valley Adds Bonus Weekend

Bolton, VT – Receiving more than three feet of snow since March 15 is a game changer in the ski industry. Recent heavy snowfalls have made for what some Vermont skiers and riders may argue are the best conditions of the season. With this in mind, officials at Bolton Valley announced today that they will extend the winter season. Originally set to close on March 31, Bolton will now remain open for one additional weekend of skiing and riding, April 6-7. The area will be closed midweek, April 1-5.

“When we realized we had the potential to prolong the season, it was a no-brainer,” said Josh Arneson, director of sales and marketing at Bolton Valley. “The spring conditions include mid-winter base depths, people want to keep skiing and riding, and we want to give our loyal guests another weekend to enjoy their winter home before the warm weather comes.”

The mountain anticipates about 40 trails of intermediate and advanced skiing and riding open for the last weekend of the season. The Vista Quad will be the sole lift for the weekend, but will take guests to a variety of terrain and trails. The Nordic Center also will be open.
