Snowshoe, WV – With nearly 200 inches of snowfall season-to-date, including four and a half feet this month alone, West Virginia’s Snowshoe Mountain Resort will stay open an extra weekend into April.
Originally set to close for the season this Sunday, officials at Snowshoe will now reopen the resort’s Silver Creek terrain pod Friday through Sunday, April 5-7, with 40 trails and seven lifts.
Nearby Timberline Four Seasons Resort in Davis, W.V., which itself has stacked up 180 inches of snowfall this winter will stick to its planned closing this Sunday with $1 afternoon lift tickets for all from 12:30 to 4:30 p.m.
