Highmount, NY – Belleayre Mountain officials are planning the mountain’s first SkiTember Fest, scheduled for 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. at the New York State ski and snowboard area’s Overlook Lodge. SkiTember Fest will feature crafters, live bands, outdoor activities, a winter equipment & apparel sale, the Sky Ride, theatrical performances, a huge BBQ and more.

With all the hustle and bustle of festivals and activities going on in the Catskill Mountains area over Columbus Day Weekend, the Belleayre Fall Festival was moved up two weekends.  By moving the festival date, the goal is to help promote the region as a whole over the two weekends so everyone can fully enjoy what the Catskills truly offer.

Over Columbus Day Weekend, Oct. 12-13, Belleayre Mountain will be open with many foliage activities planned.   The skyride will be open from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. for people to enjoy the spectacular colors of the foliage season, take a walk along the summit, have a picnic lunch, head for BBQ and live music on the deck, or just enjoy the peace and quiet. The weekend will also provide an opportunity to upgrade your ski and riding gear for the 2013-14 season via the ski and apparel sale.
