Fine Dining Atop New York’s Whiteface Mountain

Wilmington, NY – On Saturday, September 21 Whiteface Mountain Ski Center, Centerplate and J. Lohr Vineyards & Wines are teaming up to bring a unique dining experience to the summit of Whiteface.  Watch the sun set over the High Peaks of New York’s Adirondack Mountains from the castle perched 4,600 feet  above sea level at the top of the Whiteface Mountain Veterans Memorial Highway, near Lake Placid.

Guests will relax as they sip J. Lohr wine and feast on gourmet farm-to-table delights prepared by Executive Chef Jennifer Moody.  The experience includes round trip transportation from Lake Placid or Wilmington, a 30-minute reception in the summit round house with light hors d’oeuvres and a wine selection, three locally sourced main course dinner stations with J. Lohr wine pairing, and a special gift.

Seats are limited, and more information or reservations may be secured at www.whiteface.com. Tickets cost $99 per person and are limited to those age 21 and over.

Other upcoming events ahead of the ski season at Whiteface Mountain and in the Lake Placid area include the annual Octoberfest (October 5-6), the Lake Placid Brewfest (October 12) and ski jumping at the annual Flaming Leaves Festival, including Blues, Brews & BBQs (October 12-13).
