Maribel, WI – Hidden Valley’s owner says that the ski resort in northern Wisconsin will stay closed this winter.
David Lodl, Hidden Valley’s owner for the past seven years, says the slopes of Hidden Valley, set in the rolling hills of northern Manitowoc County just south of Green Bay, will remain quiet.
The only indication on the resort’s website is brief mention on the home page: “Hidden Valley Ski Area will not be open for this coming 2013/2014 season,” it states. “We would like to thank everyone for their support for the last seven seasons.”
The ski area was closed for four years prior to Lodl’s acquisition of the ski area in 2006-07.
It is unknown if Lodl is looking for a buyer for the 50-acre ski area, which features one chairlift and several rope tows on 200 vertical feet.
