Falmouth, ME – On Thursday, November 7h, the Morong Auto Dealership of Falmouth and the Sowles family will host the third annual Ski Museum of Maine and Ski Maine Association’s Ski Season Launch Party.
The Sowles family will open their showroom for the reception and the Ski Museum’s displays of Maine skiing artifacts, photos, and memorabilia. The Morong dealership’s collection of classic and antique automobiles also will be on view.
Ski Maine Association will provide the first 20 individuals through the door with a pair of lift tickets to selected Ski Maine member areas. Premiering at this event will be Ski Museum of Maine’s “The History of Ski and Snowboarding Competition in Maine” Fireside Chat and “From Tree to Ski,” a newly adapted 1930s short film narrated by “Altitude” Lou McNally.
A silent auction will accompany the reception, beginning at 6 p.m. The evening will conclude at 8:30p.m. following a 50/50 drawing and Ski Museum of Maine ski ticket raffle drawing.

The event will benefit the Ski Museum of Maine in Kingfield, whose mission is to preserve Maine’s skiing heritage.
