Make That Two Utah Ski Resorts Opening Early

A number of recent pre-season storms have stacked early natural snowfall on Utah’s Wasatch Mountains. Coupled with extensive snowmaking efforts, Brighton officials opted to throw the switch on the new ski and ride season a week ahead of schedule.

Brighton will open its Explorer and Majestic chairlifts for the 2013-14 season at 9 a.m. on Friday, accessing three trails and a mini terrain park. Opening day lift tickets will be priced at $37 for a day pass.

Brighton’s Snake Creek and Crest lifts are expected to also open soon.
