Breckenridge, CO – The Dew Tour iON Mountain Championships returns to Breckenridge December 12-15, featuring many of the world’s top freeski and snowboard athletes, including Shaun White, Louie Vito, Danny Davis, Kelly Clark, Torin Yater-Wallace and Bobby Brown, competing in superpipe and slopestyle competitions.
The event will serve as the first official US Ski and Snowboard Association (USSA) Olympic team selection event of the 2013-14 season, and the first-ever USSA selection event for freeski slopestyle, freeski superpipe and snowboarding slopestyle disciplines.
The iON Mountain Championships will bring together the country’s top male and female pro superpipe and slopestyle athletes, along with an array of international talent looking to capture the Dew Cup.
NBC Sports Group will feature more than four hours of live coverage of the Dew Tour iON Mountain Championships. Coverage begins Saturday, December 14 at Noon ET on NBC, and continues through the weekend on NBC and NBCSN. All practice, qualifying, and finals will be streamed live on DewTour.com.
SNOWBOARDING
Two-time Olympic snowboard half pipe gold-medalist Shaun White (2006, 2010) will attempt to emphasize his dominance in the superpipe, while also showcasing his skills in slopestyle. In addition, Olympic half pipe gold-medalists Kelly Clark (2006) and Australian Torah Bright (2010) will compete in the women’s superpipe contest. US Olympic snowboarding slopestyle hopeful Jamie Anderson will compete as well.

SKIING
Showcasing their skills in men’s and women’s superpipe will be top contenders Torin Yater-Wallace, David Wise, Simon Dumont, Maddie Bowman and Devin Logan. The slopestyle contest will be dominated by Breckenridge native Bobby Brown, and heavy hitters Tom Wallisch and Gus Kenworthy, who are all hungry for valuable USSA selection points. Logan will be pulling double duty at the Dew Tour iON Mountain Championships, as she will also be competing in the slopestyle contest against top contenders including Grete Eliasson.

NIKE SNOWBOARDING STREETSTYLE
The iON Mountain Championships will once again host a streetstyle event in downtown Breckenridge. The contest will highlight snowboarding’s best urban talent on a collection of street features under the lights on Washington Street.
