Homewood, CA – Homewood Mountain Resort will open its ski or snowboard season tomorrow, two days ahead of schedule, and will launch its winter season with free skiing and snowboarding on opening day.
Recent storms dropped a total of 27 inches of fresh snow on the resort, located on Lake Tahoe’s west shore, which augmented the base created by Homewood’s snowmaking crew over the past seven days.
Homewood will open on Wednesday with the Happy Platter surface lift, Magic Carpet beginner runs and Happy Park terrain park available from the resort’s North Lodge. In addition to skiing and snowboarding, guests will be able to enjoy a selection of hot lunch items at the North Lodge Café Grill, a full retail store with gift ideas for skiers and riders, and both child and adult ski and snowboard lessons and rentals.
To take advantage of the free skiing, guests simply need to check in at any Homewood ticket window to pick up a complimentary lift ticket. After Wednesday, Homewood will offer early season lift ticket pricing of $29 Sunday through Friday and $39 on Saturdays until the resort is able to open additional terrain to the public.
