Sun Valley, ID – Gingerbread men to decorate, train rides around the Village for youngsters, a scavenger hunt Classic Christmas Window Stroll, photos with Santa, live music and food cart offerings will all kick off Sun Valley Resort’s Second Annual Winter Wonderland Festival that begins tomorrow and runs through January 5.
This season’s Classic Christmas Window Stroll will highlight fun and festive archival photos of this Idaho ski resort and town’s rich history. Those participating in the scavenger hunt through the window dressings will receive a prize upon completion of the hunt.
This event will be free for all, as will a Gingerbread cookie decorating workshop in the Boiler Room from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., and train rides for little ones around the village from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.
Santa will be available for photos on the Boiler Room Deck from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.
Music will be performed by two Wood River High School choirs and food carts throughout the Village will offer holiday refreshments.
On Sunday, the Signatures Gift Shop will host a Wrap N Run event. Girls on the Run will offer express gift wrapping for donations. The girls will wrap any present from anywhere. Sunday also will mark the return of the Lodge Dining Room’s famous Sunday Brunch, served from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. New specialties and complimentary champagne will be included in the new offerings.
