Utah’s Wolf Mountain Gets New Owners, New Name

Eden, UT – An unnamed consortium of local and private investors has purchased Wolf Mountain ski area in the Ogden Valley for an undisclosed sum from America First Credit Union.

The investors will rename the resort “Skyline Mountain Base” beginning next winter. In the meantime, operating hours will be extended, including night skiing on Sundays. An expanded rental fleet has already been added to the ski shop.

America First Credit Union has held Wolf Mountain since 2010, when the ski area fell into bankruptcy. Although portions of the property that included nearby Wolf Creek Resort in Eden were auctioned off in the interim, the ski area itself remained intact as the credit union’s efforts brought the resort out of bankruptcy. Prior to its acquisition by Wolf Creek Resort, Wolf Mountain was known as Nordic Valley ski resort.

The resort’s new owners will hold a festival this spring, during which they will reveal their 10-year plan for the resort.
