Norden, CA – California’s Sugar Bowl Resort has pushed back its opening day and will not open the Tahoe ski area’s winter season by this Wednesday, as previously scheduled. Resort officials indicate that a new opening day for the resort’s 75th ski season will be announced soon.
Sugar Bowl Resort is currently making snow when temperatures permit. The resort’s new pumphouse and improved snowmaking system have been helping crews increase snow coverage on the upper part of Mt. Lincoln, resort officials indicate. The resort will open on a limited basis as soon as snowmaking or natural snowfall allow, says resort spokesperson John Monson.
Updates on Sugar Bowl Resort’s opening day will be posted on the resort’s website at www.sugarbowl.com.
