Salt Lake City, UT – A cool mid-September trough brought the season’s first snowfall to ski resorts from California to the Rockies this week. The early harbinger of winter stacked up as deep as 16 inches in some locales, and while it’s refreshing to see summer breathing one of its last gasps, these early dustings will quickly melt away long before lifts start spinning this winter.
