Loon Mountain Resort Hosts White Mountain Oktoberfest

Lincoln, NH – White Mountain Oktoberfest, the region’s largest celebration of German beer, food, and culture, will bring a taste of the Bavarian Alps to New Hampshire’s Loon Mountain Resort over Columbus Day Weekend, Oct. 10-11.

Timed to coincide with New Hampshire’s vibrant foliage season, White Mountain Oktoberfest will give revelers an opportunity to enjoy seasonal brews, bratwurst, and breathtaking New England mountain scenery. The two-day festival, presented this year by new partner Samuel Adams, will offer free admission and fun activities for the entire family.

Guests of all ages will enjoy a weekend packed with events that will include the Samuel Adams Stein Hoisting Competition, Adult Keg Toss, Kids’ Root Beer Keg Toss, and the Stein-Carryin’ Keg-Rollin’ Relay Race, plus water balloon launching, pumpkin painting and more. A few lucky winners will take home three-foot-tall 2015 Samuel Adams Oktoberfest steins, and an indoor/outdoor beer garden will serve an array of Samuel Adams brews including the new, limited-edition Pumpkin Batch ale, available on tap only at White Mountain Oktoberfest.

Visitors who plan ahead can sip their ale in a limited-edition 2015 White Mountain Oktoberfest glass boot. These tall, one-liter steins are available online at LoonMtn.com through Oct. 9. Due to limited quantities, the steins will not be available during White Mountain Oktoberfest.

Guests are encouraged to wear lederhosen, dirndls, and other authentic German garb for a chance to win prizes throughout the weekend. Life-size Samuel Adams cutouts and themed photo backdrops – think a Sound of Music-style alpine meadow or Munich beer hall – will provide fun opportunities for group photos.
