Stratton Mountain, VT – Starting this January, skiers and riders will be able travel to Stratton Mountain in Vermont with ease on the Stratton Jitney. The premium Ambassador Coach will depart from Manhattan each Friday and return Sunday evening, allowing New York City-area guests to enjoy a weekend in the Green Mountains without the hassle of driving.
The Ambassador coach features extra wide plush seats, Wi-Fi service, complimentary Vermont-made snacks and spacious storage compartments for all ski gear for the approximate four-hour ride.
One-way fare will cost $79, and children age 2 and under ride for free. Reservations may be made online at strattonjitney.com.
Service will begin January 8 and continue through March 27, with Monday returns available on MLK and President’s Day Weekends. Jitney pick-up will be on 44th & 3rd in Manhattan, near Grand Central Station, at 5:45 p.m. each Friday. Two additional stops will be made on the Long Island Expressway (Calverton and Exit 49 Park & Ride) en route to Manhattan.
For guests staying in on-mountain accommodations, there is no need for a car to access fine dining and a multitude of retail shops just steps from the base of the mountain. Stratton’s Sports Center and Nordic trail system are also close at hand. Relax after a day of skiing with a massage and manicure at the Village Spa. Kids will love the lift served tubing park and mini-snowmobile tours located at the Sunbowl Activity Zone.
